Wild fires were burning in the Park when I made this image which gave the moon a touch of orange color and provided a slight haze above the falls. I spent the night alone at Artist Point watching and listening to the wilds of Yellowstone. One could hear the roar of the falls, the birds roosting for the night, wolves howling, coyotes yipping, and the bark of a cow elk. A herd of bison rumbled past above on the ridge and the footfalls of what might have been a grizzly bear still echo in my mind.
