Pelican Valley is the home territory for the Mollie wolf pack which is centrally located in Yellowstone National Park. I referred to the pack as the “Hells Angels of Yellowstone” because a few times a year they go on a tour of the park and cause havoc with the other wolf packs. Often the Mollie wolves run off other packs from their territory and steal their freshly acquired meal.
 
On this day, the sixteen-member Mollie pack were traversing the northern range in Lamar Valley when I captured this image. It was difficult to photograph all sixteen members at one time.
